What is Homezze?
Homezze is a web and mobile application that allows clients to find Service professionals in their local area to bid and complete their projects.
Is Homezze liable for incomplete projects?
No, Homezze is merely a platform that provides the tools and workflow necessary for both the client and service professional to agree on a project, escrow payment and track work progress until satisfactory completion.
Can I post multiple projects?
Yes, a client can post multiple projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously through their client dashboard.
How does Homezze protect payment?
Payments are kept in an escrow like account and would only be released to Service Professional with client review and approval after the completion of project.
What if a Service Professional does not complete the project?
If a service professional does not complete a project and cancels the project, Homezze will refund payment in escrow back to the client.
Does the Service Professional work for Homezze?
No, Homezze is a tool used by independent Service Professionals to bid on projects and manage each contract.
Where do the Service Professional reviews come from?
Individual reviews come from former clients. reviews are submitted after the project is completed.
Can I leave a review regarding my experience with a service professional?
Yes, at the conclusion of the project.
Can I cancel a project?
Yes, both client and service professional may cancel a project, however the Percentage of work completed will be credited to the Service Professional and the remaining balance will be refunded to the client.
How do I contact Homezze?
You can send us an email, we will respond to emails generally within 12hrs.
Can I dispute a project?
Yes, a client or service professional may dispute a project for multiple reasons by submitting a dispute on the Resolution Center found on your dashboard.
Can I change my Bid?
Yes, service professionals will be able to change their bid prior to an accepted bid by the client(s).
Will I be able to speak with the Service Professional?
Yes, a client will be able to communicate with the Service Professional through Homezze messaging center and Zoom.
Could the bid price change?
Yes, a service professional might begin work and discover that the scope of the project is significantly more than the initial estimation and the bid agreement. In such situations service professionals will indicate changes to their clients and submit an addendum to the project, which the client may accept or decline.
What is an Escrow?
An escrow protects the fee associated with the service rendered by the service professional. Homezze escrow is provided to you through our Stripe partnership where your funds are held in secured, non-interest bearing accounts until the transaction is completed. This ensures that your transaction is protected against chargebacks, fraud or wrongly described services. Homezze is founded on the principles of protecting the clients and Service professionals to ensure a safe and secure transaction of services and payment.
Are my messages secure?
Our in App messaging interface allows you a level of security that protects the integrity of the bilateral exchange that you will have between client and service professional
Should I make payment outside of Homezze?
Our core differentiator from other websites is payment security. Protecting your payments against risk is one of the foundational focuses of our platform.
We strongly discourage you from making payment arrangements outside of the secure payment arrangement of Homezze. If you do, we cannot ensure the quality nor the security of payments outside of the platform.
What forms of payments are acceptable?
Both client and service professionals are required to create a Stripe account as part of our capability to ensure the strongest payment transaction possible. Stripe would allow you to use several forms of payment to transfer payment associated with each project.
Who purchases material?
As a client you can opt to purchase your own material or elect for the service professional to acquire the needed material. Clients will be able to elect during posting of their project to indicate their preference. Service professionals will also be able to make certain that their bids are labor only or include material.
What is a Statement of work or SOW?
Statement of work is a signature feature that is unique to Homezze. SOW allows Service Professionals to clearly outline phases and tasks associated with the project. Service Professionals will complete an SOW and submit their bids to the client in that format. The contract between Client and Service Professionals will be sorely based on items indicated on the statement of work.
What if the scope of work changes?
If the scope of work needs to change, Service professionals will communicate the changes to their client and create an addendum phase to the statement of work. Service professionals will submit any new Phase/ Task to the client. Clients must review and approve any changes recommended by the service professional before any work may begin relative to the new changes. Clients may also decline the recommended changes.
When does the Service Professional get paid?
Service professionals will submit completed work to clients for review and approval. Upon approval, funds are immediately released to the service professional account.
Do you allow phase payment release?
Service professionals may indicate on their statement of work if the effort will be divided into phases as well as if after each completion of each phase, corresponding funds are to be released by the client from the stripe account.
How does a client track their project?
Each statement of work is tied to a Phase(s) and Task(s). Each Phase is an aggregate to the total sum of the project value. Homezze platform requires service professionals to update completed Task(s) and Phase(s) which drives completion metrics that both Service professional and client can see on their dashboard.
How does a Service professional get paid?
Clients are required to make payment into an escrow account before project kick-off. Once the service professional has completed a phase or the entire agreed upon project, clients are required to review and approve payment. Upon approval, payment is released from escrow directly to the service professional account.
How much does it cost to post a project on Homezze?
Posting a project is free. There is no upfront cost to create a project on Homezze.
Who is responsible for building permits on Homezze?
Homeowners will work with their service professional and local city permit office to secure necessary permits. In most cases your service professional will secure the needed permits from the city.
Would I be able to keep my previous Service Professional for my future project?
Yes, an homeowner may create a new project and mark it as recurring work to be performed at a future date.
How does your recurring project work?
As a homeowner you may create a project and mark it as recurring. Marking a project as recurring will allow you to select the recurring frequency either weekly, monthly or annually.
Would I be able to create a project for family or friends?
Yes as an enrolled user, you will be able to create a project for multiple locations. Great way to help others.
Do you offer home improvement loans?
We have partnered with Lendingtree, Upstart and Upgrade. Simply access any of these lending site links to apply for an home improvement loan and return to the Homezze site to fund your projects.
Will Homezze work with my budget?
Homezze bidding format allows you to benefit from different proposals submitted to your dashboard by service professionals. You will be able to evaluate each proposal based on key elements such as reviews, start date, statement of work, and more importantly cost of work.
